Job Description:

The Baruch S. Blumberg Institute (BSBI) is seeking a dependable and highly motivated individual to support Facilities Administration at the Pennsylvania Biotechnology Center (PABC) in Doylestown PA. The PABC, which is a 10-acre, four building,150,000 square foot biotech incubator was created and is managed by BSBI.  It is home to laboratories and offices for non-profit research organizations (The Baruch S. Blumberg Institute and the Hepatitis B Foundation) and ~ 300 scientists and staff who are interested in translational research, including those from 40+ companies. As a result, the PABC has been named one of the nation’s most successful life sciences incubators.

This role is essential to building operations and will report to the Senior Director of Administration. The successful candidate will be front facing to resident incubator companies, will support general accounting activities associated with the PABC, and will collaborate across multiple companies and stakeholders to support building operations and create community.

Essential duties and job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Accounting – 

  • AP/AR.
  • Perform bank reconciliations, bank deposits, journal entries, and financial analysis.
  • Support monthly financial statements and audit requirements.
  • Assist with miscellaneous accounting projects.

Office Administration –

  • Maintain facilities ticketing system.
  • Onboard new companies and staff.
  • Maintain Center wide contact list.
  • Manage phone, front-door reception.
  • Organize company-wide events, meetings and luncheons.

Required Skills –

  • Proficiency with accounting software, preferably QuickBooks Online.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and facilities ticketing systems.
  • Strong time‑management, and attention‑to‑detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Excellent customer facing/customer service ability.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and adapt to changing needs.
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple organizations and stakeholders
  • Must be able to work 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. in office Monday – Friday

Required Education and Training –

BS/BA in Accounting, Administration, or Management.
